In a multi-unit transport, the individual pieces are referred to as a package. When transporting a certain size for each package is agreed and is usually defined by the client. Many individual components are grouped together as general cargo and can be easily transported. A package may consist of pallets, boxes, lattice boxes or other closed means of transport. Sending many small shipments is thus more economical and profitable for both sides. The package is also used by the consignor as a calculation factor for the prices of different suppliers for the same package catch up. The transport can be tracked at any time by an individual number for each packaged item.
