In production and delivery, there is the term Just in Time. For the production of goods, the required components are delivered at the right time. In the case of just-in-time production, the exact quantity of materials required must be determined for each work step and coordinated with the supplier. The Just in Time Concept obliges the supplier to comply with the delivery, otherwise, production stops. The supplier usually faces high penalties if the timetable is exceeded. To prevent a delivery failure in Just in Time Production, the same parts are sourced from different manufacturers.
