The loading unit or transport unit describes a generally binding size for combining different goods. So that the transport can be planned better, uniform sizes are always used for loading units. Thanks to standardized and standardized transport units, it no longer matters which goods are to be transported, because the transport can be optimally prepared on the basis of the standardized load carriers.
The best-known loading unit is the Euro pallet. Thanks to the standardized size of the load carrier, it is easy to determine how many trucks are needed for transport. Of course, there are many different loading units. It is relatively unimportant, whether it is a pallet, box or package. It is only important that the transport unit has a defined size in order to standardize the transport.
